print with print, embroidered lapels and hems, fabulous shoes and bags: Prada Fall Winter 2012 at Milan Fashion Week. Each piece is so distinctive, I’ll have to think how to pair the individual items. Maybe just go with it in eponymous Muiccia head-to-toe. I do love her.

Gucci Fall Winter 2012 at Milan Fashion Week: Gucci has always been known for making perfect, fabulous bags. The collection wasn’t my thing: but the bags and details of the colors and fabrics Frieda Giannini almost like a banquet Vatel might have created: it all looks deliciously rich and sumptuous.
Gucci Fall Winter 2012 at Milan Fashion Week: a bag as a piece of art you can carry with you always.
Burberry Prorsum AW 2012: I think Burberry is one of the few designers where you don’t look like you’re trying too hard if you wear all Burberry. Cool, a little brash and understatement at the same time. The clothes are perfectly tailored and the bags just perfect. Not all the time - sometimes they have big rather ugly zippers - but this season’s bags avoid them for the most part.
Burberry Prorsum AW 2012: two coats, two bags: must-haves. And a horse. You need to hop on a horse wearing the plaid coat.
